Welcome to the Secret Life of Wonder Woman podcast. My name is Linda Todd. In 2010 while working in the Gaza Strip, I got sick and ended up with encephalitis, which is inflammation of the brain brought on by an unknown infection. This left me with a brain injury that, according to my neurologist, made my brain look like that of one of her elderly Alzheimer’s patients. I was 45 years old. After being given no hope of a recovery and no clue how to even try, I set out to learn how to rescue my own brain. I started by devising my own brain rehab program and continued studying books written by brain experts to bring my brain to as full a recovery as possible. What I learned was what an absolute miracle our brains are! Thanks to the discovery of neuroplasticity, I learned that my brain was capable of exactly what I needed from it! I have shared my knowledge and discoveries with others who have neurological damage or whose loved ones do and I want to share this with YOU! Brain health affects EVERYONE so tune in, subscribe and get ready to learn some really cool stuff about THE most important organ in your body! The control centre, your amazing brain.

So often I encounter people who have never heard of the magic of neuroplasticity when it comes to chronic pain.
This is another topic that I will come back to from time to time because I want you to know that there is HOPE for you to find relief from chronic pain without solely relying on pharmaceutical medications with their potentially harmful side effects.
I am not saying to completely avoid medications but rather to use them as tool while you're able to recover the parts of your brain that have been hijacked for chronic pain.
Take charge of your life again and put chronic pain in its place!
